Millbrook Exchange Tennis Center
2023 Raleigh Summer League

What is Impact Team Tennis?
Impact Team Tennis is a recreational, social league with a unique, co-ed format. The league is divided into NTRP levels.

What is a Impact Team Tennis team?
Teams consists of a minimum of 2 men and 2 women. Locally, teams can have an unlimited player roster (only 10 players can go to a National Qualifier).

The format features co-ed teams competing in six sets: men's and women's singles, men's and women's doubles, and two mixed doubles. This unique format includes no-ad scoring, substitutions, super-tiebreakers and coaching. Total games won from all sets determines the winner.

Who can play?
Players must be at least 18 years of age to participate in the league.

Impact Team Tennis is not a USTA League
Players are not required to have a USTA rating.
Players who don't have a USTA rating can self-rate.
Players with a USTA rating may play at or above their level.

When do leagues start?
For 2023, our 9 week season will start the week of May 15.

Sign-Up Deadline: April 22, 2022
April 21 is the team payment deadline through RecLink (City website).

April 28 is the deadline to have the minimum players signed up online (2 men, 2 women)

What Divisions (levels of play) are offered?
All divisions play at 7pm.
3.0 - Tuesday
3.5 - Monday
4.0 - Wednesday
4.5 - Thursday

Our local league rules require you to play at or above your current NTRP rating but not below. (E.g. A 3.5 player may play at the 4.0 level but not at the 3.0 level).

Our local league does NOT allow "average NTRP rating of the top two men and top two women" as mentioned below.

Determining Team Rating
The average NTRP rating of the top two men and top two women players on your team determines the team rating.

       Example:
  Joe- 4.5 Mary- 3.5
  Tom- 4.5 Jill-3.5
  Bill- 4.0 Gail- 3.5
  Joe- 4.5 Mary- 3.5
  Jim- 3.5 Joan- 3.0

The best two men and two women are: 4.5 + 4.5 + 3.5 + 3.5 = 16. 16 divided by 4 equals 4.0.

This team could register for the 4.0 division or a higher division. A team consists of a minimum of two men and two women. Although the limit to the number of team members is ten, the suggested number of players is three men and three women. Click here to determine your NTRP level.
